Secret Santa Generator — No Email Needed

Type the names, set who shouldn't draw whom, and hit draw. You get one private link per person to hand out however you like — we never ask for an email and the names never leave your browser.

How it works (and why there's no email step)

Classic Secret Santa sites collect everyone's email address and send each person their draw. This one skips that entirely: the draw runs in your browser, and each person's result is sealed inside a private link. The link's secret part sits after the # in the URL — browsers keep everything after # on your device, so the names never touch a server. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing for us to store, see, or leak.

The draw itself is a full re-shuffle until everyone gives to someone else — nobody draws themselves, exclusions are respected both ways, and every arrangement that satisfies your rules is equally likely.

Worked example

Six people, two couples. Add the six names, then two exclusions: Ana ↮ Ben and Carla ↮ Dev. Draw. Each of the six links reveals a name that is neither the opener themselves nor their partner. Set a $25 budget and it appears on every reveal page.

FAQ

How does a Secret Santa generator work without email addresses?

Instead of emailing each person, the draw creates one private reveal link per participant. You hand each person their link however you already talk — group chat, text, WhatsApp, Slack. Opening a link shows that person who they drew, and only that.

Where are the names stored?

Nowhere. The draw happens in your browser, and each reveal link carries its own result in the part of the URL after the # — which browsers never send to servers. We have no accounts, no database, and no way to see your group. Keep the organizer link if you want to reopen the draw later.

Can I stop couples or housemates from drawing each other?

Yes — add an exclusion for the pair before drawing. Exclusions work both ways: if Sam can't draw Alex, Alex also can't draw Sam. Add as many pairs as you need; if the rules make a draw impossible, the generator says so instead of dealing a bad draw.

Can the organizer take part too?

Yes. Your own link reveals only your own draw. Be aware the reveal is inside each link itself, so anyone holding someone else's link could open it — send each person only their link and open only yours.

What if someone loses their link or I need to re-draw?

Links keep working forever — resend it from your chat history, or reopen your organizer link and copy that person's link again. A re-draw generates a completely new set of links; old links from the previous draw stay as they were, so throw them away after re-drawing.

Is there a budget or a limit on group size?

You can set a budget line and it's shown on every reveal. Groups up to about fifty names work comfortably — beyond that the links list just gets long. Two people is the minimum; with exactly two they simply draw each other.
